NOTES:

The 1960 World Series was played from October 5, to 13, 1960, between the American League Pennant winners New York Yankees, and the National League Pennant winners Pittsburgh Pirates. The Pirates beat the Yankees four games to three in the best of seven series. Game 7 has been rated as one of the most exciting games in World Series history.

The lead and momentum changed several times during this classic baseball game that was ultimately won by a spectacular walk-off home run by Pirate second baseman Bill Mazeroski. The first walk-off home run in World Series history. New York Yankees Bobby Richardson won the World Series MVP, the only time in history that the award had been given to a member of the losing team.
