Little Slugger Baseball Cap

The Little Slugger baseball caps were made in toddler, and juvenile sizes. The cotton caps featured an elastic back band and were offered in red, and different shades of blue. The "Little Slugger" baseball caps appear in advertisements as far back as 1961, but the bulk of the caps in the collectors market are probably from the 1980's and later. Made in China they were sold in Woolworth type discount stores, and were most popular in the early 1980's at Walmart. The one constant on the short brim cap is the "Little Slugger" cross bats and baseball logo patch which also includes 4 bases at the bottom.
