a 1940 Camel Cigarettes Ad featuring Joe DiMaggio, Bucky
Waters, and George Case. The advertisement appeared in
life Magazine in 1940. An era when sports figures
commonly advertised for tobacco products. I can't even
imagine Derek Jeter pushing Nicotine for Marlboro. The
three Sports hero's in the ad led the majors in 1939;
Joe DiMaggio in Batting, "Bucky" Waters in
Wins, and George Case Stolen Bases. How Many Stolen
bases would he have had if he didn't smoke? Hmmm
