Joe DiMaggio Day signed official Souvenir Cover

This is a Joe DiMaggio Day official Souvenir Cover. These complementary covers were made available by the C. George company located on 112 Palmetto street Brooklyn. The postcards were given away at Yankee Stadium on Joe DiMaggio Day October 1, 1949. Before the game the covers were taken to the Bronx Central station Post Office where the Stamps were canceled. This one was canceled at 9 a.m. This great piece of vintage memorabilia is rarely seen and has been signed by Joe DiMaggio.

Joe DiMaggio was honored at Yankee Stadium on October 1, 1949. During his speech he uttered these famous words. "I'd like to thank the good Lord for making me a Yankee." A sign of this quote hangs in the Yankee Stadium tunnel the ball players pass on the way to the feild.
