Stadium Seat. These seats were originally installed in
Yankee stadium
in the 20's when the stadium was built. Box seats that were installed back in 1923 are the most desirable,
and can bring a price tag of $3,000. Seats from the 1973
renovation were
sold for the price of $10.00 or $7.50 at E.J. Korvettes
with 5 empty boxes of Winston
cigarettes. Most of those seats were from the 1950s
but The Winston/Korvettes
special were offering the older seats from the original
1923 opening day.
