This
is a 1961 Ford Pennant winners Whitey Ford talking
baseball card. The cards were sent to
collectors through the mail as a promotion for the Ford
Pennant winners program. The card reads "This is
the first Talking baseball card, and therefore, be quite
a collectors item." Other players were made as
well. The card features a record on the front that
can be played on a standard record player with the
recorded sounds of Whitey Ford. This Record/card was put
out a year before the more common Auravision
records of 1962.
