This is
a 1954 Ballantine Ale & Beer New York Yankees Advertising Plaque.
These Signs were distributed to Bars by Ballantine
to hang in their establishment. The back features
an easel for table top display or a chain to hang on the
wall. The front pictures the a 1953 New York Yankees
team photo, including playes; Mickey Mantle, Billy
Martin Phil Rizzuto, Manager Casey Stangel, and coach
Bill Dickey.
This advertising sign celebrates the New York
Yankees becoming the
first team to win 5 consecutive World Series
Championships, 1949, '50, '51, '52, 'and '53. The sign
reads; Sponsored on Radio and Television by Ballantine
Ale & Beer. This Masonite backed lithograph
sign features an artist rendition of a metal frame.
